Conversations on Authoring Practices | July 21
Paula Sacur (Xile)
Conversatori

In this discussion we will address bodily authorship, asking ourselves, What is my singular, autonomous language in dance? A subject developed by Paula Sacur, somatic researcher into dance and politics, from an emancipatory perspective that in her practice comes from feeling, perceiving and acting in the first person: "We must discover ourselves, get to know ourselves, in order to be able to generate a dance that is authentic and autonomous in its language, thereby, crossing and transgressing other ways of creating and relating to other bodies in dance, collaborating through a rhizomatic symbiosis of being in our bodies, with other bodies and the environment". We’ll use dance researcher Paula Sacur's practices and works of authorship as a starting point to relate, reflect and converse.
