EiMa Creació is opening a call for 8 places to participate in the intensive workshop of intercultural creation and site-specific performance FRONTERES INSULARS, an international project developed by the Italian company Instabili Vaganti within the framework of the Beyond Borders program.
The workshop will take place from June 29 to July 5, 2026 in Maria de la Salut, Mallorca, and is aimed at actresses, actors, dancers, performers and stage artists interested in contemporary creation and the international processes Beyond Borders.
The selected people will be part of a training, research and collective creation laboratory directed by Anna Dora Dorno and Nicola Pianzola, which will culminate in the public presentation of a new site-specific version of the international performance CREUANT FRONTERES — FRONTERES INSULARS.
The artistic research will focus on the relationship between the body and the physical, emotional and symbolic territory; belonging and isolation; maritime and migratory memory; island identity and global dynamics; as well as the need for community and human connection.
The process will combine contemporary dance practices, vocal research, multilingual dramaturgy and performative work in open spaces and in direct relation to the territory.
